Description
A 2000 m single-mode launch-fiber assembly in a yellow protective case bearing Riselink branding. Use it between a compatible OTDR and the fiber link under test to provide a lead-in section for evaluating the first link connection. Select the connector for each end when ordering.
Versions and configuration
All 64 listed Connector A / Connector B combinations are available to order, including ST/APC options. Your cable will be supplied with the connector pair selected when ordering. Choose Connector A for the OTDR end and Connector B for the link end. One ordered configuration contains one cable with the two selected ends; the selector does not represent a kit of interchangeable connectors. Match connector type and polish at each mating interface. A cable may have UPC at one end and APC at the other, but a UPC end face must never be connected directly to an APC end face.

In the box
One 2000 m OTDR launch-cable box, fitted with the Connector A and Connector B selected when ordering. Cable-box assembly only; no additional accessories or documents are included. An OTDR and any separate inspection, cleaning or connection equipment required for testing must be supplied by the user.
Suitability and use limitations
For compatible single-mode OTDR testing and troubleshooting. The assembly can also serve as a receive cable when its connectors and length meet the test procedure. Before choosing 2000 m, check the OTDR dead-zone requirements at the pulse width you will use; this length is not suitable for every test. Inspect and clean both interfaces before connection. Include the launch fiber and link in the measurement range and configure launch/receive compensation according to the instrument instructions. Do not use it as a multimode launch cable, connect mismatched APC/UPC end faces, or treat the cable alone as a link-certification instrument.
